Censorship Tirade

Let me start this off by stating, for the record, that I have never played the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The important thing is that I have not played it because I chose not to. Not because a group of Haitian Activist’s made it so that I, or anyone else for that matter, could not play it.

For those of you not familiar with the game, its about car thieves, its set in Miami in the 1980’s. In one of the scenes you have to go up against some Haitian gangsters and one of the characters says, “Lets kill those Haitians”.

Ok, I can see how this might mildly upset some people. If I was a parent (and you can all thank God that I’m not) I might think twice about letting my young child play this game.

But what about the adults who aren’t offended by that line or any other part of the video game? Don’t they have the right to choose whether they want to own that game? Apparently not!

These Activists have been picketing at a few Wal-Mart’s to have the game pulled from the shelf. They even have a law suit against the creators of the game.

They’re asking for $15,000 for damages. Uhmm, what fuckin damages? They didn’t come to your fuckin houses and break anything. They made a video game and gave us the option to buy it if we chose to. They didn't force anything on anyone.

What part of Freedom of Speech did these Activists miss, or Freedom of Choice for that matter? If you’re so fucking offended by it then don’t let your kids play it. But who the hell do you think you are to come to this country and decide what belongs on a stores shelf and what doesn’t?

What you’re doing is called censorship. What’s next? A good ole fashioned book burning perhaps?

As Activists don’t you think your time would be better spent helping a poor family fix their house? Or maybe helping kids get an education or junkies get clean? Anything would be better than picketing at Wal-Mart.

Your time is yours to waste however you want. But unfortunately that’s not all your wasting with all this over-sensitive politically correct bullshit. You’re wasting thousands of the taxpayer’s dollars with your ridiculous lawsuit.

By the way did I ever mention how much I hate the term politically correct? I fucking despise it. Its turned this country into a bunch of pussies who are afraid to say what they’re really thinking cause they’re too afraid they'll offend somebody.

Well fuck you! I refuse to walk on eggshells. By the way what the fuck is an activist anyway? I don’t remember my high school Guidance Counselor mentioning that to me. Nor was there a booth for that at career day. I even checked the classifieds and I still couldn’t find anyone looking for an Activist. You know why? Cause it’s not a real fuckin job!

You want to make a difference get into politics and make it your business to help make the community better. Otherwise shut the fuck up! Stop picketing and get your ass back into your cab and back to work. People got places they need to be. I might need a ride to the airport.

Be fuckin thankful that this country gives you the right to make choices and don’t assume it’s your right to take those same choices away from me and other American citizens.

One last thing, I’m sure if you check the sales on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City you’ll likely notice a huge increase in their sales recently due to all the new publicity you dumb fucks have heaped upon them.

You stupid ignorant bastards, haven’t you heard? There’s no such thing as bad publicity!
